The Senate is poised to take a crucial vote Friday on whether to advance Brett Kavanaugh’s nomination to the Supreme Court as key Republican senators remain undecided amid allegations of sexual misconduct and intense protests that have divided the nation. 

The woman who has accused Supreme Court Justice nominee Brett Kavanaugh of sexual misconduct, Christine Blasey Ford, has been invited to testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee Monday, but the chairman of the committee, Sen. Charles Grassley, says that she has not responded to the three or four emails sent by the staff over "the last 36 hours."

Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and the woman alleging he assaulted her in high school will both testify before the Senate Judiciary Committee on Monday, delaying the committee's vote previously scheduled for Thursday, the committee announced Monday night.
